We are based in Old Bridge, New Jersey. We build table in different sizes and colors. When deciding on a farmhouse table there are a few things you need to keep in mind. Size is one of the first most important thing you need to think about. When thinking about size you have to take into consideration the size room the farmhouse table will go. You don't want table you have built to take up all the space in the room(or be too small..). Your will need no less that 42-48" between the table and walls and other furniture. See here for exact instructions. If you need the table larger for special occasions you have the option to have extension leafs on certain table. Ask use for more details when you decide to place and order. Next, you need to figure out the type of base you would like for your new farmhouse table. We have six different style bases to choose from. You can see our choices here. Our most popular bases are the Truss Beam Base and the The X-Base. If your looking for a base that has more leg room at the ends of the table you would opt for the traditional farmhouse base(without stretcher) or the chunky turned leg base. Now here is the fun part. Now you can decide on the type of wood you would like for your new farmhouse table. Our basic farmhouse tables are all made of pine. Pine is economical but not the best wood for a table you want to keep a very long time. What we recommend for our client is, go with a pine base and a hardwood top. We use a wide range of hardwoods. The most popular in our shop is Ash, Poplar, Oak, Maple and Walnut. This is from the cheapest to most expensive. Choosing the best hardwood for your table can sound like a daunting task but don't worry, we have a stock of samples in our shop for you to look at and make the best choice for your budget. Last but certainly not least..... COLOR. We use a range of different products to color farmhouse tables. Our number stain line is Minwax products. You can see our Minwax color choices here.
