2. PIONEER WOODWERX DELIVERY: Our delivery crew drives all across the New York Tri State Area. If you live in one of our delivery cities, the Pioneer Woodwerx team can bring the furniture straight into your home for around $150 - $300 per order depending on your location. Local deliveries within 50 miles of Old Bridge within New Jersey area are $150. Call 732-201-2528 for more information. 

3. THIRD PARTY FREIGHT SHIPPING: Freight shipping straight to your curb, anywhere in the contiguous U.S. Your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout. Depending on your order size and location, shipping starts at $340. Contact us via email or phone for a shipping quote.

Here are our top most frequently asked questions. 

What size table should I get?

To figure out what size table to have built you will need to know your room size plus the number of people you want to seat will dictate your table size.  For the table placement in the room you usually want between 42-48″ between your table and the walls.  If there is furniture in the dining space, begin your 42-48″ measurement from the edge of the furniture instead of the wall. You want to allow for about 24” of eating space per person so you aren’t bumping elbows. Many customers mention taping out the table size on the floor to get a feel for it in the space.

Please keep in mind that these are just general suggestions.

How many people can I seat at my table?
Figuring our how many people you want to seat at your table is a great place to start. Chair widths vary, but as a general rule:

For Rectangular Tables:
6’ tables seat 6 loved ones
8’ tables seat 8 loved ones
10’ tables seat 10 loved ones
12’ tables seat 12 loved ones

For Round Tables:
48” tables seat 4 loved ones
54” tables seat 5-6 loved ones
60” tables seat 6-7 loved ones

For Square Tables:
46” tables seat 4 loved ones
55” tables seat 4-8 loved ones
60“ tables seat 8 loved ones 
66” tables seat 8 loved ones

How long does it take to build a table?

Orders take around 3-4 weeks to complete from the time we receive the deposit (just half to get us started). We don’t want to rush your table but we also don’t want to keep you waiting!! Turnaround time may vary depending on time of year. Please contact us if you want your order sooner.

Can we visit your showroom to see your work in person?

Yes, you are welcome to come by to see our work. Pleas keep in mind we are a small shop. All of our work is built to order. If we are in the mist of a build you're welcome to stop in and check things out. All we ask is that you book an appointment in advance, as we work in a active wood shop and at time it could be dangerous. 
What kind of wood do you use?

Our tables are made from SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) Certified Douglas Fir which is sourced from the US Northwest. Tables are sealed so that you won’t have to worry about ring stains, water marks, etc. We like to create furniture that people can not only enjoy, but also USE every single day.

Each piece of lumber has a unique grain pattern, arrangement of knots and knot holes, and reacts differently while being stained, plus, given it has real people working on it, there are always traces of human influences. This is what makes buying hand-built items a pleasure.

Solid wood furniture has natural characteristics like all variety of knots/knot holes/hairline cracks/milling imperfections/etc. You will see natural character on the table top, legs, and apron. We cannot control for natural variations of the wood as we are using solid wood lumber and not mdf/plywood or any other engineered/manufactured lumber. Natural character is not considered a defect, but something to be celebrated.

We also offer the following wood species: Walnut, Oak, Maple, Ash, and Cherry, however we are always looking to add more options to this list, so please inquire for our current options.

Do you make chairs?

Unfortunately, we don’t make or sell any chairs here at the shop. We are happy to build a matching bench for your farmhouse, trestle or industrial dining table. All of the chairs you see in on our website come from our customers who find creative seating solutions.

Do you provide a warranty for your tables?

​We stand by our work and our goal is to create tables that will last. Please do understand that wood is a natural element and is subject to seasonal changes (unlike laminate) and therefore it can shrink, expand, warp, crack, etc. This is just the nature of wood, and a minimal amount is to be expected. But if its excessive, we will fix it. We do not cover general wear and tear.
